The Royal Scots Museum sits within Edinburgh Castle. Visitors are guided through the history of the Regiment from its formation in 1633 through to its amalgamation in 2006 with the other Scottish Infantry Regiments to form The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
The Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) is the oldest infantry regiment in the British Army. The museum displays a range of objects and archives which chart this long history and highlight key events and individual stories.
Former members of the Regiment wishing to visit the Museum only can arrange access by calling the Museum office on 0131 226 2688. At least two working days notice will be required to arrange access. This does not permit wider access to other areas of the Castle.
