The Suffolk and Norfolk Collection catalogues the history of the King’s Own Norfolk Yeomanry, from its formation in 1782 by the Marquis of Townsend as The Norfolk Rangers and the Duke of York’s Loyal Suffolk Hussars formed in 1793, through many amalgamations to the present day Suffolk and Norfolk Yeomanry. The Collection is housed within the Muckleburgh Collection, an outstanding collection of military artifacts, artillery pieces and working military vehicles located on the North Norfolk coast at Weyborne, on the site of the former Royal Artillery anti-aircraft training camp.
