The collection of the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry is located in the same building as Danum Gallery, Library and Museum. The displays include an excellent collection of Regimental memorabilia, uniforms, pictures and silver dating from the raising of the Regiment in 1755 to its amalgamation into The Light Infantry in 1968. It includes a model of the Pontefract Barracks, the Roll of Honour of the 5th Battalion and one of the most extensive medal collections in this country.
