Our small, private museum for members and their guests provides a summary account of the history of the HAC. It includes the finest examples of the Company’s collections of uniforms, weapons and other artefacts as well as items from the HAC’s archives.
Our archives hold Company and Regimental material dating from the early 17th century and collections of members’ private papers. The archives include minute books, financial records, military records, letters, diaries, memoirs, pamphlets, press cuttings, printed ephemera, photographs, maps and plans, rare books, prints, drawings, watercolours, reels of film, video and audiotapes and a growing number of digitised as well as born-digital items. We also preserve collections of medals, silver, large oil paintings, uniforms, weapons and other artefacts acquired by the Company or donated by members and their families.
Occasionally members of the public with relevant HAC interests might be allowed to visit and need to make an appointment in advance with the Archivist.
