a year agoVisited today and was welcomed by friendly and smiley staff, which is always a pleasure. Was totally impressed at how much the museum had on display, even tanks and canons! There was no shortage of information. So much to see and read about. Absolutely loved the figures. A great way to really picture how soldiers lived and worked. Totally worth a family ticket of just £10.00 to see all of this. A great experience and would highly recommend!

a year agoWe visited here with our 9 year old son, it's not a massive museum, but we spent 90 minutes here, which could've been longer if we didn't have to meet some friends for lunch. The collection covers a wide period of military history, with plenty of information about the exhibits. The medal collection is as extensive as it is stunning, is well displayed and accessable and has the names of the original owners who were awarded the medals which is a really nice touch as some museums don't do this. Lots of historic weapons on display, as well as some more modern types, some fantastic miniature scenes (see my pictures), a few video screens playing content as well as loads of other memorabilia. For the price, it's well worth a visit if you're interested in the subject.
