The East Riding Yeomanry Collection is located within Burton Constable Hall, an historic Grade I listed Elizabethan house, home to the Constable family for over 700 years (who have a strong connection to the Regiment), the collection illustrates the history of the East Riding Yeomanry, known as ‘Wenlock’s Horse’ after the founder, Lord Wenlock, from its formation in 1902 until amalgamation in 1956. The display includes uniforms, medals, photographs, badges and ephemera that tell the story of the Regiment and it’s service in two world wars. Today the Regiment is part of the Queen’s Own Yeomanry.
Opening hours:
28th March to 1st November 2026.
The Hall is open Tuesday to Sunday – 11am to 4pm (last admission at 3pm).
(Closed Mondays except for Bank Holidays)

2 months agoFirst visit to this excellent Manor house, my wife and I were overwhelmed the presentation of all the wonderful rooms,the room guides were magnificent their knowledge knew no bounds,Georgina and her colleagues on Sunday made our visit very enjoyable, well done all the staff and volunteers.

11 months agoWhat a wonderful day I have never been through so many rooms on a trip around a stately home and all of the guides were a font of knowledge, we took nearly two hours to get around the house and lots of information given in every room. A must to visit and we must go back during the Christmas period as they say it is a feast for the eyes. Thank you Burton Constable volunteers for a truly memorable visit. 👍

a year agoLovely day out. Food is excellent and a decent range of food. House is bigger than you think with lots of rooms to explore and volunteers on hand to give depth. Other items to explore including stables and whalebones.

11 months agoLarge, opulent, some fine furniture. Lovely grounds that are wanderable. Cafe very nice, and staff/volunteer guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. Yellow paint is to taste.
