The Wardrobe is a listed building, originally a residence, dating back to the 15th century. It was converted to provide a home for the regimental collection, opening in 1981. Housed on the ground floor, this collection covers the history of the County Regiments of Berkshire and Wiltshire and their more recent successors. The regimental library and archive are housed in the same building and may be viewed by appointment. There is an on-site licensed tearoom and restaurant called Bernieres, and a well-stocked riverside garden.
