About This Museum
The York and Lancaster Regimental Museum is located on the first floor of Clifton Park Museum, Rotherham. It covers the history of the Regiment and it’s forebears, 65th and 84th Regiments of Foot from 1758 to 1968. The displays include uniforms, weapons, Regimental memorabilia and personal items. One of the galleries is dedicated to exploring Regimental life and themes in an interactive way aimed at families and children.
The 16,000 Regimental archive items are available through the Rotherham Archives and Local Studies search room, on the ground floor of the same building. Please contact in advance to check archive opening hours and availability.
