About This Museum
The museum tells the story of the home of the British Army from 1854 to the present day, as well as the local history of Aldershot and Farnborough. From the Victorian Soldier to National Service, the museum uses photographs, models, displays and soldier’s domestic and military life. The Cody Gallery tells the story of the first man-powered flight in Britain in 1908. Artillery guns and military vehicles are displayed in the grounds of the museum and the Montgomery Gallery. The Boyce Building was moved to the site from Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Church Crookham and houses a small gallery telling the history of the corps based there.
