About the Museum

The Worcestershire Soldier is a permanent exhibition at the City Art Gallery and Museum at Worcester.  A well presented collection covers the history of The Worcestershire Regiment from 1694, The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment from 1970 to 2007 and The 2nd Battalion The Mercian Regiment (Worcesters and Foresters) to the present day with displays of uniforms, weapons, badges, medals and regimental memorabilia.

The Regimental library and archive are not on site and research enquiries should be addressed to the Mercian Regiment Museum (Worcs) at Dancox House, Pheasant Street , Worcester WR1 2EE or via the email address shown. A fee of £25 (non refundable) is charged for research enquiries.
