About the Museum

The museum, which is a Visit Scotland 5 star credited museum, houses an important collection of uniforms, badges, medals and regimental memorabilia illustrating the history of this famous Highland Regiment from the Napoleonic Wars through to operations in support of the United Nations.

The ‘Golden Thread’ is also followed, with displays relating to The Highlanders and operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The exhibitions include interactive displays, sound stations, films, and models illustrating the deeds for which this regiment is renowned. The full regimental archive is kept on site and access is available by appointment with the Curator. There is also a programme of lifelong learning events and activities for all ages.
