About the Museum

This unique collection covers the history of the Fusilier Volunteers in London from the Volunteer Rifle Corps of 1859 to the modern day.  It is rich in uniforms, badges, medals, photographs and artefacts and includes a complete set of London Regiment TF 1908 cap badges and shoulder titles. There is an excellent written history of the Regiment’s development on well designed information boards covering the Volunteer Corps, involvement in the South African War 1899-1902, the Territorial Force 1908-1914, the Territorial Army 1920-39, the 2nd World War and post-war activity. Now in the care of C (City of London) Company of The London Regiment the collection also covers the more recent and the current operational employment of the Company in the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan.
