Royal Guernsey Light Infantry Regimental Museum: A gallery opened in 2009 tells of the formation of the RGLI during the First World War, with displays of uniforms, medals, posters and weapons. The part played by the regiment in the Battle of Cambrai, 1917, is depicted in a diorama and in audio recordings of soldiers’ diaries. A small research station allows visitors access to the photographic archive and other material. Royal Guernsey Militia Regimental Museum: A gallery due to open in autumn 2010 follows the Militia from its foundation in the fourteenth century through to 1939. Incorporating parts of the Spencer Collection, displays include uniforms, weapons, badges, medals, standards and band instruments. Both galleries are located within Castle Cornet which also houses the 201 Squadron (RAF) Museum, The Maritime Museum and The Story of Castle Cornet.
