How to get there:
At the highest point of the town, behind Woolworth’s. Rail and bus links are poor.

The museum of the Senior Regiment of the Reserve Army – the sole survivor of the Militia – covers the history of the Regiment from its initial mustering in 1539. Displays include uniforms, weapons, insignia, medals, drawings, books and documents. Coverage of the Regiment’s recent activities includes exhibits related to operations in Iraq. The Regimental archives may be viewed by appointment.

Opening Hours:
: Open from 2 to 5 pm daily - from 1st April to 31st October (and over Easter, if early). We will open at other times on request.
