An innovative and attractive museum relating the story of the men of the regiments of Cheshire, their families and their community. This 300 year history is told through art, artefacts and memorabilia including fine displays of uniforms, medals and weapons. “The War Horse” exhibition traces the story of the horse and other equine beasts in war from the times of the Ancient Egyptians to the modern day. Details of this and other museum displays can be seen on the website. Access to the archives is available by appointment.

Cheshire Regiment (22nd Foot), 22nd (or the Cheshire) Regiment of Foot, 22nd Regiment of Foot, Duke of Norfolk’s Regiment of Foot, Cheshire Yeomanry. Representative collections of 3rd Carabiniers, 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards and Eaton hall Officer Cadet School.
